How The Band Got Started

EagleHeart was formed in Feb of 2009. Marjoe Davis came to Catlin and ask him if he would consider forming a band with Marjoe as the Bass player. Catlin and Marjoe began praying about it and two weeks later decided to run an add in the paper. If God wanted them to have a band He would provide the people and instruments they need. They set a time and place for every one interested to meet.  Scott LeCroy showed up with drums, Nick Bailey came with drums, bass, & guitar. Chris Crumpton came with an electric guitar and a lot of toys. The next week Nick had invited Henry Young to come with his steel. I was very excited about Henry but He had some reservations. He didn't know what to think about this long haired boy who believed in Christ and in prayer. The following week Henry came back all prayed up and ready to play. With in one month we were playing in public. God had annointed our efforts and each one of these musicians. But then the devil tried to tear us apart. Chris left first then Nick. The band was up in the air about staying together. We prayed and asked for God's will to be done. All the sudden we had Thad Strickland to join the band. We never missed a beat or a booking. Then Tammy Sanderford joined as a rhythm guitarist, although she felt more comfortable with keyboards. Then Mike Smith called. I didn't even know he played. We've had other additions along the way. God is so good. Still serving Christ. EagleHeart will go anywhere God opens a door. How much do we charge? hahaha. We don't play for the money, We play for Jesus. Although we will take a love offering to cover cost of travel and making more CD's. God has always taken care of us. He always will. It's His money, His ministry, His band.

Marjoe Davis

Marjoe was born in Oklahoma. Later as a teenager he moved to Texas. He's been in church all his life but sadly to say, like most of us he hasn't been a christian his whole life. He learned to plat the Bass at age 15. Now by the grace of God he has been born again and uses his talents for Jesus. He has been in several different Gospel bands through the years and has loved every minute. His mission along with EagleHeart Ministries is to see people blessed through our talents and come to know the same savior as each member of the band does. He hopes to meet each and every one of you at one of our services. May God bless.

Catlin Tierce

God has blessed him with a wonderful family, both at home and church. Now he feels blessed to be with a group of men who play music and feel the same way about Christ as he does. His prayer is that we always put Jesus first above all. May God bless all who hear our music.
